In the heart of Paris, a short walk from Notre Dame and most of Paris' other important attractions (click on the picture above) a sunny, peaceful, one-bedroom apartment is waiting to welcome you. Spacious (750 sq. ft.) and well ventilated, the Marais Apartment is the perfect refuge for one person or a couple who want to experience the romance of Paris without the hassle (and expense) of a car, and without the annoyance of street noise or noisy neighbors. This furnished apartment is located one block north of the Pompidou Center and within easy walking distance of the Place des Vosges and the other delights of the Marais; it is a pleasant stroll to the Louvre and the Left Bank.

The Marais Apartment is located in the heart of Paris and it is very romantic. As you look out over the rooftops and think about Rodolpho and Mimi of La Bohême, you may feel a wild desire to run away from home, burst into song and take a lover. (But unlike Rodolpho and Mimi, you won't have to burn the furniture to keep warm: the apartment is well heated, and even air-conditioned.)

This Paris apartment is also superbly convenient. If you decide to eat in, have no fear: the owners are also "foodies" and you'll find the kitchen almost embarrassingly well-equipped. You can do your shopping right downstairs, in a convenient little supermarket. If you're feeling more adventurous (or if, like us, you simply love outdoor markets) you can take your shopping basket five minutes away, to the Montorgeuil Street Market, one of Paris's most delightful. Be sure to leave time for a glass of wine in one of the local cafes; then select your dinner from some of the city's finest butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers and cheese stores. (The prepared foods here are also sensational. Indeed your plans to cook may founder in the face of the temptations of Montorgueil, which include half-a-dozen mouth-watering chinese/thai/vietnamese take-outs and a first-class shop specializing in the foods of the Auvergne.

Some of Paris' most charming restaurants are found within a minute or two of the Marais apartment. We'll leave you a book with some well-tested names and addresses.

As you will see from the photographs (see Description), the apartment's owners are art collectors. That means that you will enjoy a mini-exhibition without ever leaving home.

Welcome to the Marais Apartment. Your only regret will be that you can't stay forever. (Click here for a more detailed description.)
